  • Crafted gear in Add Item. When you add a crafted item in Top Gear, pick its stat pair and embellishment first, just like in Drop Finder. Raid BOEs without fixed stats get the stat pick too. Before, crafted items were added without secondary stats and simmed far too low

  • Catalyst conversions. A catalysed piece keeps the secondary stats of the item it was made from, so Top Gear now also offers a conversion when you already own that tier piece at the same item level. You may see more combinations with the catalyst on

  • The Unbinding of Kith'ix. Loot from the new raid showed item level 219 on every difficulty. It now drops at 285 in LFR, 298 in Normal, 311 in Heroic and 324 in Mythic
  • Raid difficulties in Drop Finder. The difficulty picker showed "0/6" after every raid track. It now shows just the track, like Hero or Myth, because the upgrade level differs per boss

SimHammer 5.0 is a redesign: a new home page, a collapsible sidebar, and every tool rebuilt around the same layout.

  • Home page. Click the SimHammer logo to see your character with its latest DPS and trend, a shortcut into each tool, your recent and running sims, and this week's Mythic+ dungeons. New here? It helps you load your character first
  • Consumable alternatives in Top Gear. A new Consumables tab sims other flasks, food, potions, augment runes and weapon runes alongside your gear, and ranks every mix
  • Auto consumables, resolved. "Auto" now shows which flask, food, potion and runes SimC actually uses for your spec and talents
  • Power Infusion. Available as a raid buff
  • Collapsible sidebar. Shrink the sidebar to a slim strip of icons for more room. SimHammer remembers your choice
  • Character spotlight. Your character stands next to your gear, sized and placed the same way for every race

  • Sim settings. Fight, consumables and raid buffs sit in one block at the top of each tool, with your saved profiles in its header
  • Top Gear. One toolbar for tabs and options, compact gear cards in three sizes, and Reset all
  • Talents. A one-line summary with a build picker that previews the differences on hover. Open the full tree only when you need it, and compare builds straight from the picker
  • Rankings. Each result shows what changes as a row of icons with a short summary, so gear, talents, Omnium Folio, gems and consumables fit on one line. Click a row to see it on your character
  • Drop Finder. The same layout as Top Gear, with source tabs, one settings card, filters next to the drops, and cards you can sort by slot or by instance
  • Desktop app. Opens bigger on first launch and remembers its size and position
  • Version number. Now shown next to the logo

Fixed

  • Character pictures. Characters on two-word realms, like Grim Batol or Twisting Nether, show their picture again
  • Quick Sim. The character card shows your portrait again
  • Large characters. Big models no longer spill into the card header

Why it looks different: every tool now follows the same pattern. Your settings sit at the top, your choices in the middle and the answer at the bottom, and things that do the same job look the same on every page. Learn one tool and you know your way around the rest.

We also cut what didn't help you decide. There are fewer boxes and labels, details appear on hover instead of on every row, and the numbers that matter sit in the same place on every screen. And you get the room back: compact layouts, a sidebar you can hide, and a window that opens the way you left it.

  • Faster sims on servers. Self-hosted and Docker setups now use every CPU core instead of leaving two unused. On a 4-core server, a Drop Finder finished 1.7x faster. Sims run at low priority, so the rest of the server stays responsive. Set SIMC_THREADS to cap it. The desktop app is unchanged

  • Drop Finder preferred gem. Choosing a preferred gem could make the sim fail. If you picked one before this update, pick it again, or Drop Finder will use the gem you wear most

Fixes for Raid Roster catalyst stats and missing item icons.

Fixed

  • Raid Roster catalyst items. Catalysed items in the loot report showed the tier piece's secondary stats instead of the stats of the item they were made from. The sim results were already correct; only the tooltips were wrong
  • Missing item icons. Large results, such as a big Drop Finder run or a shared sim opened in the app, showed question marks instead of item icons. Results with more than 100 different items now load every icon

Share your sims, a live sim view, and a new look with a light theme.

New

  • Share your sims. Click Share on any finished sim to get a simhammer.com link. Anyone with the link sees your full report in their browser, no app needed. Links are removed after 90 days without views, and after 180 days at most. You can stop sharing at any time
  • Open shared sims in SimHammer. Click "Open in SimHammer" on a shared sim, or paste the link in the top bar
  • Re-run a shared sim. Run it on your own machine and see how your result compares with the shared one
  • Edit a shared sim. Load someone's Quick Sim, Top Gear, Drop Finder or Crest Upgrades setup into its page and change it
  • Live sim view. While a sim runs you see its progress and time left, live DPS against your baseline, and a ranking of the finished combinations with their gear
  • Consumables and buffs. Results show which flask, food, potion, augment rune, weapon rune and raid buffs the sim used
  • Light theme. Switch between Dark and Light under Theme in the sidebar, or in Settings → Appearance

  • New look. Every screen shares one consistent design for headers, labels and buttons
  • Keyboard support. Pickers, toggles, sliders and tooltips work with the keyboard

  • Two diamonds. Top Gear could suggest a set wearing both
  • Rough numbers. Rows pruned early kept the estimate from where they dropped out

  • Progress on long sims. Staged sims show how many combinations are done out of the total, instead of a batch number that barely moves

  • Ghost sims. A sim could run forever with nothing showing in My Sims and no way to cancel. It happened when your sim history had future-dated entries from a wrong PC clock. If you were affected, those future-dated entries are leftovers you can safely delete
  • Gem and enchant tooltips. Show properly in Top Gear again
  • Sim page freezes. A brief connection hiccup locked the progress view for good. It now recovers on its own, and a deleted sim shows "Simulation not found"
  • Catalyst. Previous-season fixed-difficulty gear is no longer offered for catalysing

The macOS build is not notarized, so Gatekeeper blocks it the first time you open it. Open it once, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to the SimHammer notice. Or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/SimHammer.app in Terminal. It's a one-time step.
